British Airways i360 London New Attraction

Just when you think you have been there and done it all well almost in London, this amazing city yields another amazing attraction right along Brighton’s world-famous seafront- the British Airways i360. Being the world’s tallest moving observation tower and first vertical cable car, the British Airways i360 is the “must-go” for all who head to London this season.

Created by the team behind the famous London Eye, the British Airways i360 brings a unique “walk-on-air” experience for visitors. It offers a stunning 360-degree view of the most spectacular Sussex coastline and Brighton, all from a glass viewing pod at a height of 138meters.

Architect and British Airways i360 chairman David Marks said: "Built at the landward end of Brighton's historic West Pier, the British Airways i360 is a modern-day ‘vertical pier’ that gives a new perspective of the city.  Just as the West Pier invited visitors to 'walk on water' in the Victorian era, British Airways i360 invites today’s visitors to 'walk on air'. We believe that British Airways i360 will showcase Brighton on the International Stage."

While up in the air, visitors can also enjoy a “tall” glass of world-class sparkling wine at the Sky Bar.  Nyetimber, producer of England’s finest sparkling wine, is the naming partner of the Sky Bar. For those celebrating a special occasion, make a reservation at the Belle Vue Brighton restaurant, a beach-side contemporary restaurant that offers the most stunning views of the West Pier and unforgettable seafront dining experience. This elegant eatery serves quality, unique and delicious dishes using local ingredients from Sussex’s larder created by some of the best local chefs including MasterChef: The Professionals winner, Steven Edwards. While those who love to have a cup of tea with cake along Brighton beach, do pay a visit to West Pier Tea Room that opens daily from 09:00 to 22:00.

The British Airways i360 opens daily from 10:00 to 20:00. However, given the high demand particularly during weekends, operational hours are extended to 21:00 every Friday and Saturday. Tickets are sold at £15 (adult) and £7.50 (child) on site. Ticket office closes 30 minutes before the last “flight” departs. One word of advice -- book online at least three days in advance for cheaper rates and to avoid disappointment.

Brighton, a popular tourist destination, is the perfect destination for an attractive day trip from London -- just an hour away by train. In addition to the British Airways i360, this seaside town has many other attractions to offer such as the Royal Pavilion, Palace Pier, Sealife Centre, Devils Dyke, a myriad of museums and of course, its famous pebble beaches.

Fly British Airways to London from Kuala Lumpur with the special all-inclusive fares from RM2,929* in its most technologically advanced Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.  The rates apply to bookings by 12 September 2016 at ba.com for travel from 17 August 2016 to 30 June 2017.

The 787-9 features the impressive new First suites. Malaysians can now enjoy a choice of four distinct cabins: First, Club World business class, World Traveller Plus premium economy and World Traveller economy class.
