More than 220,000 passengers have flown the two-class A380 on over 450 flights, across four destinations from Dubai encompassingKuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Copenhagen, and Manchester since it first entered service in December 2015.

Commenting on the two-class Emirates A380 in Malaysia, Andrew Bunn, Country Manager, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei, Emirates airline said, “We have seen a very positive response from Malaysians, both business and leisure travellers, on the two-class A380. Malaysians appreciate and see the value of newer aircraft equipped with Emirates’ quality offerings, such as onboard Wi-Fi, award-winning inflight entertainment system, and top notch service provided by our multinational cabin crew.”

He added, “The A380 is an important segment in the Malaysian market, as it comes with added capacity, allowing us to connect more Malaysians to Dubai and beyond. It also reiterates our commitment to continuously innovate and proactively enhance customer experiences.”

The introduction of the two-class A380 comes with exciting feats. In Manchester, where Emirates is the only airline to use an A380, the announcement coincided with Emirates’ 25th year of serving Manchester, a destination frequented by Malaysian students and leisure travellers.

On the Dubai – Kuala Lumpur route, Emirates serves the Malaysian market with a daily flight on the A380 aircraft, and thrice-daily flights on Boeing 777 aircraft, which amounts to 28 weekly flights on the route.

The A380 service to Kuala Lumpur, EK342, departs Dubai at 10:15hrs (local time), and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 21:25hrs. The return flight, EK343 departs Kuala Lumpur at 01:10hrs, arriving in Dubai at 04:30hrs.
